The Twitter Explosion

Okay, I’ll admit it, I did it too. I am addicted now. But for someone in SEO, I think being on there is very important. It’s another news avenue … but really, if I keeps growing like this … well the top industry people are gonna get annoyed. :) But for now it’s great.

More updates as I get time. Things are pretty hectic at work. We have gotten some good MSN rankings for a new project. Don’t know how seeing as the website is a month old, but I’m not complaining, I swear. ;)

The web 2.0 crowd was all over Twitter but I ignored micro-blogging as long as I could stand it, until I saw the NY Times article, then realized it wasn’t going away. I actually found your blog by way of Twitter, I did a Summize.com “near:Austin” search.

Like you said about news, for a while I got news from Techmeme.com, but now with Twitter I’m able to find more web-savvy people closer to home, not just geographically but in terms of interests. The people you find on Twitter are more likely to know what SEO is because they want traffic, whereas people hooked on social network applications are locked inside that womb, oblivious to how the Internet works: HTTP. Now I see Twitter drawing people out from their isolated social networks, little by little they see the Internet is a much bigger place.
