Hi Kate,
I stumbled across your blog when looking for SMX East summaries, and I saw this post. (I was there for your Give It Up presentation, great job!)

A lot of my friends think voting is useless, and that their vote won’t count.. etc. etc. But today I was thinking how voting is just like the Long Tail of search.

Each vote may not seem like much, but it certainly adds up!

As nerdy as it sounds, seeing the power of the Long Tail really reinforces the idea that being a part of such a greater thing (an election) is something to be proud of and to not discount it (go ahead, vote!).

Yes – I am a “new” Texan. However, I did register on the day I got my driver’s license…but I know too many that aren’t. I’ll pass the word.

Hey, in my defense, I am registered in Texas, but moved recently to a different county. Going to DMV on my lunch break. Will be registered, I promise.Thanks for the reminder though. I might have forgotten.
