I love Raven. That is a fact. I also love tools, not being one. I need this shirt so I can stop looking like a tool.
Here is my desperate plea to you:

PS...favorite tool? The social monitor :)

Honestly, one of my favorite aspects of Raven is probably their GUI and how easy it is to manage and track keywords (the simple things). Raven makes it so easy to research a competitor (Research Assistant) and see what terms they are targeting. From there you can do some analysis on their ranking keywords (position, number of results, aprox CPC) and add them to your profile with a single click. Raven has done a great job of making the interface easy to use and manage for multiple campaigns. I also like the fact that they continue to build it out and take user feedback seriously.

On a side note...I wear an XL and wear it well...

UberVU, MadHat, Szetela, Matt, Sizemore and anyone who posts after me all I have to say about the comparison of style between us sporting a pubcon shirt is right here...

Matt,

Thanks for the head's up. Is that a new feature? When Jon gave me the demo a few months back I don't think he mentioned that.

I'll log into my account tomorrow and check it out. I wonder though - does it notify you of changes to links that go off the blog home page and into the archives? Maybe if I can select which links to monitor and which to ignore that would do the trick.

Anyway checking it out in the morning. Thanks for the reply.

@Everett - If you check link monitoring in the link manager in Raven the system will notify you of any changes to that link. This includes active status, page rank change, anchor text changes, nofollow > dofollow vice-versa.

Depending on your notification settings the system will email you or give a notice in your inbox.

My favorite Raven Tool feature is the Link Manager tool because it helps me keep track of all of my link building efforts. I like that it imports my inbound links so I don't have to put them all in manually. But...

I wish it had a feature that let me know when a link was lost. Just an alert that sent me an email saying "You have lost a link from www...." would be perfect.

Of course, they'd have to ignore blog home pages and archive pages (since those links are by nature transient) and would have to only count sitewide links once (so I don't get 300 emails because one sidebar link was taken down).

Many times a site will go through a redesign and the webmaster/designer forgets to add all of the old links back to the sidebar or links page. Or maybe you traded/purchased a link and the jerk takes it down when he/she think you aren't looking.

Other than that, Raven tools is da-shizzle fa-rizzle. Do I get extra credit for suggesting a feature? :-P
